Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 24, 2026

This policy explains what data AnswerFirst (answer1st.org) collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. We record aggregate metrics such as page path, referrer, country, browser, and device type. We cannot identify individual visitors.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our servers record request metadata (IP address, timestamp, URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days.

Advertising

Pages may display ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings or via YourAdChoices (US) / Your Online Choices (EU).

Search form

Your search queries are sent to our servers to return results. Queries are not associated with your identity and are used only to improve coverage of frequently asked questions.

Cookies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Third-party services described above (advertising, embedded content) may. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California, etc.), you have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we hold essentially none, these requests are simple — email privacy@answer1st.org.

Children

AnswerFirst is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
