Transfer Commitment
Nils Machowski, a guard from Wofford, committed to UConn on April 28, 2026. This move marks Machowski's third program in four seasons, making him UConn's fourth addition from the transfer portal.
Performance at Wofford
Machowski had a career year in his lone season at Wofford, averaging 17.2 points (second-most on the team) and 5.7 rebounds. The Berlin native was a high-scoring contributor for a Terriers team that significantly underperformed during the season.
College Background
Prior to joining Wofford, Machowski played two seasons at UCF, where he appeared in 56 games and averaged 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds for the Knights. His progression from limited minutes at UCF to a leading scoring role at Wofford demonstrates significant improvement.
UConn's Transfer Class
Machowski joins Stanford forward Oskar Giltay, Seton Hall forward Najai Hines, and Duke guard Nik Khamenia as UConn's transfer portal additions. With returning program cornerstones Silas Demary Jr. and Braylon Mullins, the Huskies are positioned to make another Final Four run.
