Plot Overview
Set in a close-knit American town, Christmas at The Starlight centers on a beloved local supper club and longtime community gathering place. Tony Danza's character Frank, a legendary song-and-dance man, prepares to sell the family's beloved restaurant lounge after 40 years. With the future of The Starlight in question, three generations of family are drawn into an emotional journey that reminds them what is worth preserving and how faith, family, and home can lead them back to where they belong.
Multigenerational Cast
The film features a rare multigenerational family dynamic. Tony Danza stars as Frank, the father. Mario Lopez plays Frank's son. Mario Lopez's 12-year-old son Dominic Lopez plays his onscreen son, creating an authentic three-generational family throughline. This is their first known scripted on-screen pairing as father and son for Lopez and Danza.
Theme and Significance
At its heart, the film is about legacy, family traditions, and the lessons passed from father to son.
