How to Participate
Players begin by visiting their Pokémon Center where they'll find Sableye and receive a notification that it's the talk of the town. After befriending Sableye, players examine any doll in their town to summon Drifloon, who transports them to a Dream Island. On the Dream Island, players collect red crystal fragments by using Rock Smash on red crystal chunks, particularly those found in caves. Once they've gathered fragments, they return home and trade them with Sableye at the Pokémon Center for event items.
Available Rewards
Players can exchange red crystal fragments for various items with costs ranging from 2 to 10 fragments each. Rewards include decorative items like jewel wall decorations and oil lanterns, functional items like sleeping bags and camping chairs, and special building kits. The camping cooking pot can be used to make soup, the sleeping bag functions as a bed, and the tent kit can house one Pokémon after construction. A complete set of all items requires 64 fragments, though players can gather more for duplicates or 3D-printed copies using rare Pokémetal.
Event Habitat
The event features one habitat themed around treasure hunting, which requires placing one adventure kit, one map and compass, and one treasure decoration. Creating this habitat and showing it to Sableye after the event ends gives Sableye a designated location to hang out in town.
Fragment Collection Strategy
Red crystal fragments are found exclusively on Dream Islands during the event period. Each crystal chunk yields four fragments when broken with Rock Smash. The islands are randomized, but players can typically collect around 56 shards per Dream Island visit, with more fragments available depending on exploration luck. The fragments are only obtainable during the event window, making them time-limited resources.
After Event Ends
Sableye will remain in town as a permanent Pokémon friend even after the event concludes on May 14. However, the red crystal fragments themselves are only available during the event period, so players must collect and trade them before the deadline to secure all desired items.
