Weather Forecast

According to the latest forecast from WCPO 9 Cincinnati, conditions for the Flying Pig Marathon weekend will be cold but dry. This weather pattern should provide relatively stable conditions for runners participating in the various events scheduled throughout the weekend.

Marathon Schedule and Route

The Flying Pig Marathon takes place on Sunday, May 3, with the full 26.2-mile marathon beginning at 6:30 a.m. The race features a new route this year, running through Cincinnati, Covington, Newport, Mariemont, Fairfax and Columbia Township. The course change was necessary because the previous route used a bridge that was demolished in March.

Record Participation Expected

Organizers are expecting a record turnout with nearly 45,000 people participating across all weekend events. The full marathon alone is expected to draw approximately 6,400 runners. Participants are coming from all 50 states and more than 30 countries, making it one of Cincinnati's largest annual events.
