New Map and Enemy
Riven Tides introduces a deserted coastline on the western Rust Belt with three main locations: an abandoned shoreline, the Exodus port, and the Panorama Azzurro hotel. The update features a new floating enemy called the ARC Turbine that drifts across the landscape. While calm and docile from a distance, it becomes aggressive and challenging when approached, demanding skill, patience, and nerves to defeat.
Gameplay Mechanics and Items
Two new fall mitigation items—the Crash Mat and Powered Descender—allow skilled Raiders to navigate vertical terrain safely. A new minor map condition called Beachcombing lets players use the Dockmaster's Detector to sweep sand and uncover buried loot, with richer treasures hidden in more exposed areas.
Limited-Time Event and Rewards
The Last Resort event runs through May 25 and converts player XP into Merits during any map session. Players can hunt Ship Models scattered throughout the world for bonus Merit gains. Unlocking three reward pages grants cosmetics including the Junior Outfit and Hydrologist backpack, plus 250 Raider Tokens total.
Raider Project
The Avian Alarm Raider project tasks players with building a makeshift security system by deploying cages at buoys along the Riven Tides coastline to catch birds. Completing all five stages earns the Dockmaster's Detector, Gel Patches, Bird House backpack attachment, and 250 Raider Tokens.
Cosmetics
Five new cosmetic sets are being released, with the Solare Set and Rachetta Set available at launch. The Solare Set features ceremonial layers and woven fabrics, while the Rachetta Set offers bold colors and an athletic cut. Additional sets—Corsaro, Castaway, and Sandveil—roll out across May with distinct aesthetic themes.
Trials Season 4 Integration
Coinciding with the update, Trials Season 4 launches on April 29 and features major system overhauls including removal of map condition-specific progression restrictions. The new Recon Outfit serves as the season reward, available by reaching Tryhard I rank with additional color schemes unlocking at higher ranks.
