Induction Announcement and Date

The St. Louis Cardinals announced on May 1, 2026 that Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina have been elected to the Cardinals Hall of Fame. The formal induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Busch Stadium. The team chose Busch Stadium instead of the typical Ballpark Village location due to the expected massive crowds.

Albert Pujols' Legacy

Pujols spent the majority of his career with the Cardinals and is widely regarded as one of the best right-handed power hitters in baseball history. He compiled 703 home runs (fourth most in MLB history), 3,384 hits, and won 3 National League MVP awards. He was an 11-time All-Star with the Cardinals and helped the team win World Series titles in 2006 and 2011.

Yadier Molina's Impact

Molina spent his entire 19-year career with the Cardinals as the team's catcher and built a reputation as one of the best defensive catchers of all time. He earned 10 All-Star selections and won 9 Gold Glove Awards. Molina was vital in guiding the Cardinals' pitching staff during multiple postseason runs and won 2 World Series titles (2006, 2011).

The 2026 Hall of Fame Class

In addition to Pujols and Molina, Bill Sherdel was selected into the 2026 Cardinals Hall of Fame by the team's Red Ribbon Committee, which considers players from earlier eras. Sherdel was a left-handed pitcher who played for the Cardinals from 1918 to 1930 and again in 1932, winning the World Series in 1926.
