Early Coaching Career
Luis Enrique began his coaching career in 2008 with Barcelona's B team, helping develop young players. He then moved to AS Roma in Serie A from 2011 to 2012, where he gained experience managing a top European club. His early work laid the foundation for the success he would later achieve at bigger clubs.
Barcelona Success (2014-2017)
Luis Enrique's most successful period came as Barcelona head coach from 2014 to 2017. During his three seasons, he won 14 trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles in 2015 and 2016. His 2015 team is considered one of the greatest in football history, winning the treble by capturing La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League in the same season.
Bayern Munich and International Role
After Barcelona, Luis Enrique coached Bayern Munich from 2018 to 2020, where he won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. He also served as the head coach of the Spanish national team from 2018 to 2022, leading them through qualifying rounds and tournaments. He briefly stepped away from coaching for personal reasons in 2022.
Paris Saint-Germain
