Scholarship Program

In honor of Gianna's birthday, the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation announced its scholarship recipients. The non-profit awarded scholarships to 20 student-athletes from Los Angeles and Orange County communities. The foundation was created by Vanessa Bryant in memory of both Kobe and Gianna.

Gianna's Legacy

Gianna Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash in 2020 along with eight other passengers, including her father Kobe Bryant. The crash occurred en route to Kobe Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy in Newbury Park, California, where Kobe was scheduled to coach his daughter's basketball team. Kobe and Gianna have been honored with a statue at Crypto.com Arena, unveiled in August 2024.
